I love making good shit.

I love getting that first notification that somebody’s liked something I’ve posted. It never gets old for me. I love the feeling of putting something out there, whether it’s a cool photo, a dumb tweet, or a... well honestly it’s mostly dumb tweets for me. But I’ve always been drawn to that little rush when somebody connects with something I’ve created.

I think that’s what good writing and content does, at its heart. It compels a person to take action. Whether it’s a like, a comment, or a share, good content allows users to recognize themselves in it, to say, essentially, “This is me,” or, “I feel this way, too,” or, “This image of a dog stuck in a fence accurately captures what my life is currently like.”

I’ve brought that mindset to every stop on my writing journey. Sure we’ve got to sell this video game and get people to sign up for this app, but what’s in there that’s going to make them see themselves? That’s where I find my juice. I’m passionate about finding the intersection between what brands have to say and what fans love to talk about, and I think all of the best stuff lives at that junction.
